Meet the Duck Creek Animal Clinic Doctors
We strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn’t feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.
John Kelley, DVM
Dr. John Kelley received his veterinary degree from Louisiana State University. He received his master’s degree shortly after in Reproductive Physiology.
He opened Duck Creek Animal Clinic in Wellfleet in the late 1980’s. In the early 1990’s he purchased Eastham Veterinary Hospital, Stony Hill Animal Clinic and Herring Cove Animal Clinic. For over 20 years, he has owned and operated these four locations known as Lower Cape Veterinary Services, Inc.
He is a member of the MVMA, AVMA, AAHA and serves on the board of WildCare. He has through the years worked very closely with the Animal Rescue League in Brewster, WildCare in Eastham, CASAS in Provincetown and the Vieques Humane Society. He has spent the last 8 years extensively involved in owning, developing and managing Cape Animal Referral and Emergency Center in S Dennis, an emergency and specialty hospital for all patients on Cape Cod. He continues to work closely with them today.
Dr. Kelley has been giving back to his community for many years. One of his greatest interests is bike riding. He usually rides for different causes in at least four or more rides every year. He has ridden for over 18 years in the Pan Mass Challenge. Dr. Kelley has risen over $100,000 riding for his favorite fundraisers. Also outside of work, John loves to boat and fish.
Although today there are new owners of Lower Cape Veterinary Services, Dr. Kelley looks forward to serving and helping his patients and clients for many years to come.
